Ringkasan : Hot air ballooning is one of those sports that can be enjoyed by anyone. Accidents are extremely rare and when they do occur it is almost always a result
of human error and not because of equipment failure. The balloon consists of an envelope (which contains the hot air), the burner (which generates the heat) and the basket (which carries the people).

Muhammad Fabian Reginald Putra Nugraha 7A 15 Hot Air Ballooning

Hot air ballooning is one of those sports that can be enjoyed by anyone. For some the greatest pleasure is floating in a basket thousands of feet up just admiring
the view. For others, it is a matter of pushing themselves to the limit, competing with one another in
international championships, or taking on the challenge of setting new records.

Ballooning is the earliest and perhaps the purest form of flying. Its origins go back
more than two hundred years to 1783 when the Montgolfier brothers first
demonstrated manned flight. the result of their
research brought together the two essential elements of the modern hot air
balloon – man-made fabrics for a lightweight and airtight ‘envelope’, and
propane gas as an efficient and safe source of heat.

The hot air balloon is a simple flying machine, and the advances made in recent years have resulted in
one that is very reliable. Accidents are extremely rare and when they do occur it is almost always a result
of human error. From top to bottom, the balloon consists of an
envelope (which contains the hot air), the burner (which generates the heat) and the basket (which
carries the people). The fuel is carried in gas cylinders strapped inside the basket and hoses take the fuel
from them to the burner.
In ballooning it is always necessary to get the right size envelope for the job and this depends on many
factors: how many people you need to lift, what the climate is like where you fly most often, and the
number of people available to handle the balloon and equipment. It is the difference between the
internal and external temperature that makes a balloon fly, so a bigger envelope is needed when flying in
hotter countries as the amount of available lift is reduced. Most balloonists choose something around
77,000 cubic feet, as this will enable them to fly three to four people in most conditions and is small
enough to easily handle on the ground and to transport.

Zeda Odelina Queisha 7A 26 Garbage

Trash does not disappear when you toss it in a can. Yet, the average American throws away an estimated 1,600 pounds of waste each year. There are four methods to managing waste: recycling, landfilling, composting, and
incinerating. Each method has its strengths and weaknesses.
Recycling is the process of turning waste into new materials. For example, used paper can be turned into paperboard, which can be used to
make book covers. Recycling can reduce pollution, save materials, and lower energy use. Still, most people agree that recycling is better for the planet than landfilling
Landfilling is the oldest method of managing waste. Garbage is
compacted before it is thrown into the hole. Large liners are placed in the bottom of landfills so that toxic garbage juice doesn’t get into the
ground water. Sadly, these liners don’t always work. Landfills may pollute the local water supply. Not to mention that all of that garbage stinks.
Compositing is when people pile up organic matter, such as food waste, and allow it to decompose. Compost can be added to the soil to make the soil richer and better for growing crops. While composting is easy to do onsite
somewhere, like home or school, it’s hard to do after the garbage gets all mixed up. This is because plastic and other inorganic materials must be removed from the compost pile or they will pollute the soil.
One thing that is easier to do is burning garbage. There are two main ways to incinerate waste. The first is to create or harvest a fuel from the waste,
such as methane gas, and burn the fuel. The second is to burn the waste directly.
Once you put your garbage in
that can, what happens to it is beyond your control. But you can make choices while it is still in your possession. You can choose to recycle, you can choose to compost, or you can choose to let someone else deal with it.

They believe that collecting, processing, and converting waste uses more energy than it saves. Landfilling is the oldest method of managing waste. In this way more garbage can fit in each landfill. Landfills may pollute the local water supply.Compost can be added to the soil to make the soil richer and better for growing crops. Mikail Geral Wijaya 7BIL1 19 More than a million people immigrate to the United States to start new lives every year, and if they are arriving in New York, one of the first sights that they will see is the Statue of Liberty. Though she is often thought to be resident of New York, Liberty Island is actually federal property, which means that the Statue of Liberty belongs to the whole country.

The Statue of Liberty is huge. From the tip of the torch to the pedestal on which she stands, she is just over 151 feet tall. Her waist size is 35 feet, which would make it awfully tough to find pants, and the tablet she holds is 23 feet long. Don’t worry though; she hasn’t had any trouble holding that tablet yet with her 8-foot index finger. Talk about heavy handed…

Though America financed and built the pedestal on which the Statue of Liberty stands, the statue itself was a gift from France. France supported America by providing
money, men, and weapons of war. On October 28th, 1886, just over one-hundred years after America declared its independence from Great Britain, the Statue of Liberty was completed and dedicated by its designer, Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi.

Perhaps no person did more to bring the statue into being than Bartholdi. Not only did Bartholdi gain both French and American approval for the project, he led the French fundraising efforts and designed the appearance of the statue.Though much of the statue was modeled after depictions of goddesses, Bartholdi modeled the face after his mother. Now that’s a Mother’s Day gift that’s hard to top.

Though Bartholdi was responsible for the external appearance of statute, the internal design can be largely credited to innovative designer, Gustave Eiffel.

While most people appreciate the Statue of Liberty today, during its construction in the 1870s, many Americans were critical of the project. Some took issue with the fact that Bartholdi was French. Because the nation was going through a depression, many Americans thought that money should not be spent to support a giant French statue. I think most
Americans would now agree that it was a good investment.

Liberty Enlightening the World seven continents, and how liberty enlightens the world. Though much of the statue was modeled after depictions of goddesses, Bartholdi modeled the face after his mother.

Eiffel is best known for his contributions to a tower in Paris that is named after him, he also engineered the internal structure that holds up the Statue of Liberty. Eiffel chose to use a flexible structure, so that changes in the temperature and strong winds from the ocean would not cause the statue to crack. Because of Eiffel’s crafty design, the Statue of Liberty may sway as much as three inches on a windy day.

Others felt that the statue wasn’t much of a gift since it required Americans to foot the bill for the pedestal. Because the nation was going through a depression, many Americans thought that money should not be spent to support a giant French statue.

There are four ways to manage waste: recycling, stockpiling, composting, and

In ballooning it is always necessary to get the right size envelope for the job and this depends on many factors: how many people you need to lift, what the climate is like where you fly most often, and the number of people available to handle the balloon and equipment. It is the difference between the
internal and external temperature that makes a balloon fly. Most balloonists choose something around 77,000 cubic feet, as this will enable them to fly three to four people in most conditions and is small enough to easily handle on the ground and to transport. However, as a general trend balloon sizes are creeping up gradually.

more than two hundred years to 1783 when the Montgolfier brothers first
demonstrated manned flight. In the late 1950s, there was renewed interest in the
hot air balloon from a most unlikely source – the US Navy.

Accidents are extremely rare and when they do occur it is almost always a result
of human error and not because of equipment failure.
However, as a general trend balloon sizes are

While most people appreciate the Statue of Liberty today, during its construction in the 1870s, many Americans were critical of the project. Some took issue with the fact that Bartholdi was French. They believed that American monuments should be designed and
constructed by Americans. But, I think most Americans would now agree that it was a good

The statue itself was a gift from France. In this way the complete work, much like the United States, is a product of both American and French contributions. When America was ruled by the British. The founding fathers of America chose to fight against Great Britain for the independence of their country. France of course supported America by providing
money, men, and weapons of war. Had it not been for French contributions during the Revolutionary War, America would not exist in the way that it does today. Therefore, it is quite fitting that the Statue of Liberty, which represents freedom, came to being by a joint American and French effort.

Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, led the French fundraising efforts and designed the appearance
of the statue. While most people appreciate the Statue of Liberty today, during its construction in the 1870s, many Americans were critical of the project. Garbage cans are not magical portals. Trash does not disappear when you toss it in a can. Yet, the average American throws away an estimated 1,600 pounds of waste each year. If there are no magic garbage fairies, where does all that trash go? There are four methods to managing waste: recycling, landfilling, composting, and incinerating. Each method has its strengths and weaknesses.

Recycling is the process of turning waste into new materials. For example, used paper can be turned into paperboard, which can be used to make book covers. Recycling can reduce pollution, save materials, and lower energy use.

Landfilling is the oldest method of managing waste. In its simplest form, landfilling is when people bury garbage in a hole. Over time the practice of landfilling has advanced. Garbage is
compacted before it is thrown into the hole.

As landfill space increases, interest in composting grows. Compositing is when people pile up organic matter, such as food waste, and allow it to decompose.

One thing that is easier to do is burning garbage. There are two main ways to incinerate waste. The first is to create or harvest a fuel from the waste, such as methane gas, and burn the fuel. The second is to burn the waste directly.

You can choose to recycle, you can choose to compost, or you can choose to let someone else deal with it. The choice is yours.

Though America financed and built the pedestal on which the Statue of Liberty stands, the statue itself was a
gift from France. In this way the complete work, much
like the United States, is a product of both American and
French contributions. At one time America was ruled by
the British. The founding fathers of America chose to
fight against Great Britain for the independence of their
country. France supported America by providing
money, men, and weapons of war. Had it not been for
French contributions during the Revolutionary War,
America would not exist in the way that it does today;
therefore, it is quite fitting that the Statue of Liberty,
which represents freedom, came to being by a joint
American and French effort. On October 28th, 1886,
just over one-hundred years after America declared its
independence from Great Britain, the Statue of Liberty
was completed and dedicated by its designer, Frédéric
Auguste Bartholdi.
Perhaps no person did more to bring the statue into
being than Bartholdi. Not only did Bartholdi gain both
French and American approval for the project, he led the
French fundraising efforts and designed the appearance
of the statue. The appearance of the Statue of Liberty is
somewhat derived from Libertas, the Roman goddess of
freedom. The torch represents how liberty enlightens the
world. The seven points or rays coming from the top of
the crown represent the sun, the seven seas, the
Liberty Enlightening the World
seven continents, and (as with the torch) how liberty
enlightens the world. Though much of the statue was
modeled after depictions of goddesses, Bartholdi
modeled the face after his mother. Now that’s a
Mother’s Day gift that’s hard to top.
Though Bartholdi was responsible for the external
appearance of statute, the internal design can be largely
credited to innovative designer, Gustave Eiffel. Though
Mr. Eiffel is best known for his contributions to a tower
in Paris that is named after him, he also engineered the
internal structure that holds up the Statue of Liberty.
Eiffel chose to use a flexible structure, so that changes
in the temperature and strong winds from the ocean
would not cause the statue to crack. Because of Eiffel’s
crafty design, the Statue of Liberty may sway as much
as three inches on a windy day. If the winds exceed 50
miles per hour, the torch may sway five inches. Eiffel is
also responsible for including two spiraling staircases on
the interior of the statue to help visitors reach the
observation point in the crown.
While most people appreciate the Statue of Liberty
today, during its construction in the 1870s, many
Americans were critical of the project. Some took issue
with the fact that Bartholdi was French. They believed
that American monuments should be designed and
constructed by Americans. Others felt that the statue
wasn’t much of a gift since it required Americans to foot
the bill for the pedestal. After the Panic of 1873,
America fell into a deep economic depression that lasted
through much of the 1870s. (During an economic
depression people spend less money and it is harder to
find jobs.) Because the nation was going through a
depression, many Americans thought that money should
not be spent to support a giant French statue. I think
most Americans would now agree that it was a good
investment

The hot air balloon is a simple flying machine, and the advances made in recent years have resulted in one that is very reliable. Accidents are extremely rare and when they do occur it is almost always a result of human error and not because of equipment failure. In ballooning it is always necessary to get the right size envelope for the job and this depends on many factors: how many people you need to lift, what the climate is like where you fly most often, and the number of people available to handle the balloon and equipment. It is the difference between the internal and external temperature that makes a balloon fly, so a bigger envelope is needed when flying in hotter countries as the amount of available lift is reduced.

Kenza Ardraputra Rezyarifin 8BIL1 13 Sampah

Nafisa Zeta Oktavian 8BIL1 16 The Statue of Liberty berada di Pulau Liberty, dekat Manhattan di New York. The Statue of Liberty merupakan salah satu patung tertinggi dan yang paling dikenal di Amerika Serikat. The Statue of Liberty sangat besar. Dia berdiri 305 kaki diatas permukaan bahkan badannya saja setinggi 151 kaki.

The Statue of Liberty sendiri merupakan hadiah dari Prancis.

Penampakan The Statue of Liberty agak terinspirasi dari Libertas, dewi kebebasan Romawi.

Bartholdi yang mendesain bagian luar The Statue of Liberty, sedangkan bagian dalamnya didesain oleh Gustave Eiffel.

Jivara Faiza Ridwansyah 8BIL2 13 Garbage
Garbage cans are not magical portals. Trash does
not disappear when you toss it in a can. Yet, the
average American throws away an estimated
1,600 pounds of waste each year. If there are no
magic garbage fairies, where does all that trash
go? There are four methods to managing waste:
recycling, landfilling, composting, and
incinerating. Each method has its strengths and
weaknesses. Let’s take a quick look at each.
Recycling is the process of turning waste into
new materials. For example, used paper can be
turned into paperboard, which can be used to
make book covers. Recycling can reduce
pollution, save materials, and lower energy use.
Yet, some argue that recycling wastes energy.
They believe that collecting, processing, and
converting waste uses more energy than it saves.
Still, most people agree that recycling is better for
the planet than landfilling.
Landfilling is the oldest method of managing
waste. In its simplest form, landfilling is when
people bury garbage in a hole. Over time the
practice of landfilling has advanced. Garbage is
compacted before it is thrown into the hole. In
this way more garbage can fit in each landfill.
Large liners are placed in the bottom of landfills
so that toxic garbage juice doesn’t get into the
ground water. Sadly, these liners don’t always
work. Landfills may pollute the local water
supply. Not to mention that all of that garbage
stinks. Nobody wants to live next to a landfill.
This makes it hard to find new locations for
landfills.
As landfill space increases, interest in composting
grows. Compositing is when people pile up
organic matter, such as food waste, and allow it to
decompose. The product of this decomposition is
compost. Compost can be added to the soil to
make the soil richer and better for growing crops.
While composting is easy to do onsite
somewhere, like home or school, it’s hard to do
after the garbage gets all mixed up. This is
because plastic and other inorganic materials
must be removed from the compost pile or they
will pollute the soil. There’s a lot of plastic in
garbage, which makes it hard to compost on a
large scale.
One thing that is easier to do is burning garbage.
There are two main ways to incinerate waste. The
first is to create or harvest a fuel from the waste,
such as methane gas, and burn the fuel. The
second is to burn the waste directly. The heat
from the incineration process can boil water,
which can power steam generators.
Unfortunately, burning garbage pollutes the air.
Also, some critics worry that incinerators destroy
valuable resources that could be recycled.
Usually, the community in which you live
manages waste. Once you put your garbage in
that can, what happens to it is beyond your
control. But you can make choices while it is still
in your possession. You can choose to recycle,
you can choose to compost, or you can choose to
let someone else deal with it. The choice is yours.

Syesha Safira Sudradjat 8BIL2 24 Ballooning

Avissa sitti ammabel 8D 3 More than a million people immigrate to the United States to start new lives every year, and if they are arriving in New York, one of the first sights that they will see is the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty is huge. From the tip of the torch to the pedestal on which she stands, she is just over 151 feet tall. Though America financed and built the pedestal on which the Statue of Liberty stands, the statue itself was a gift from France. The appearance of the Statue of Liberty is somewhat derived from Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom. The torch represents how liberty enlightens the world. Though Bartholdi was responsible for the external appearance of statute, the internal design can be largely credited to innovative designer, Gustave Eiffel. Though Mr. Eiffel is best known for his contributions to a tower in Paris that is named after him, he also engineered the internal structure that holds up the Statue of Liberty. While most people appreciate the Statue of Liberty today, during its construction in the 1870s, many Americans were critical of the project. Some took issue with the fact that Bartholdi was French. They believed that American monuments should be designed and constructed by Americans. Because the nation was going through a depression, many Americans thought that money should not be spent to support a giant French statue. I think most Americans would now agree that it was a good investment.

Most balloonists choose something around 77,000 cubic feet, as this will enable them to fly three to four people in most conditions and is small enough to easily handle on the ground and to transport. However, as a general trend balloon sizes are creeping up gradually.

Recycling is the process of turning waste into
new materials. For example, used paper can be
turned into paperboard, which can be used to
make book covers. Recycling can reduce
pollution, save materials, and lower energy use.
Yet, some argue that recycling wastes energy.
They believe that collecting, processing, and
converting waste uses more energy than it saves.
Still, most people agree that recycling is better for
the planet than landfilling.

Landfilling is the oldest method of managing
waste. In its simplest form, landfilling is when
people bury garbage in a hole. Over time the
practice of landfilling has advanced. Garbage is
compacted before it is thrown into the hole.

As landfill space increases, interest in composting
grows. Compositing is when people pile up
organic matter, such as food waste, and allow it to
decompose. The product of this decomposition is compost.
Compost can be added to the soil to
make the soil richer and better for growing crops.

One thing that is easier to do is burning garbage.
There are two main ways to incinerate waste. The
first is to create or harvest a fuel from the waste,
such as methane gas, and burn the fuel. The
second is to burn the waste directly. The heat
from the incineration process can boil water,
which can power steam generators.
Unfortunately, burning garbage pollutes the air.
Also, some critics worry that incinerators destroy
valuable resources that could be recycled.
Usually, the community in which you live
manages waste. Once you put your garbage in
that can, what happens to it is beyond your
control. But you can make choices while it is still
in your possession.

Liberty Island is actually federal property, which means that the Statue of Liberty belongs to the whole country and it is also one of the most recognizable American symbols. She is just over 151
feet tall. If you include the pedestal in your measurement, she stands more than 305 feet off of the ground. On October 28th, 1886, just over one hundred years after America declared its independence from Great Britain, the Statue of Liberty was completed and dedicated by its designer, Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi.

“Not me, friend” refused the duck.
“Nor can I.” declined the cat.
“Count me not.” the dog turned his back.
“Not me, friend,” the duck sounded bored. “Nor can I.” shrugged the cat.
“Count me not!” avoided the dog.
Once, there lived a hen with her five chicks. The hen was as red as beetroot. She had
three friends: a duck, a cat and a dog. They all lived happily.
One day, the red hen stumbled on to a wheat seed. “Hey, who among you wish to plant
this seed?” she asked.
“All right. I will do it then by myself,” said the hen. She planted the see and watered it.
Alas! It grew quickly to yield the brownish wheat. “Hi! There, who among you wish to
harvest the wheat?” asked the red hen.
“If so, I will do it by myself,” the red hen spoke up as she laboured all day along. By
evening she had two gunny bags full of wheat.
“Hello pal! Who among you will lend me a hand to grind this wheat? She queried. All the
three refused as usual.
“I will see that I grind this by myself. I will make flour, knead dough and bake bread!”
she announced. The next day she baked delicious bread.
“Howdy, who among you wish to eat this bread?” she asked merrily. “I want to!” answered the duck, smacking her lips.
“Me too!” said the cat with his mouth watering.
“Yummy, smells good,” spoke up the dog, shuffling his feet eagerly.

stacia cleo 9C 25 While most people appreciate the Statue of Liberty today, during its construction in the 1870s, many Americans were critical of the project. Some took issue with the fact that Bartholdi was French. They believed that American monuments should be designed and constructed by Americans. Others felt that the statue wasn’t much of a gift since it required Americans to foot the bill for the pedestal. After the Panic of 1873, America fell into a deep economic depression that lasted through much of the 1870s. (During an economic depression people spend less money and it is harder to find jobs.) Because the nation was going through a depression, many Americans thought that money should not be spent to support a giant French statue. I think most Americans would now agree that it was a good investment.

Keona Azkiya Putri P. 9D 16 The result of their research brought together the two essential elements of the modern hot air balloon – man-made fabrics for a lightweight and airtight ‘envelope’, and propane gas as an efficient and safe source of heat. From top to bottom, the balloon consists of an envelope (which contains the hot air), the burner (which generates the heat) and the basket (which carries the people). In ballooning it is always necessary to get the right size envelope for the job and this depends on many factors: how many people you need to lift, what the climate is like where you fly most often, and the number of people available to handle the balloon and equipment.

Seka Nabila 9E 25 In ballooning it is always necessary to get the right size envelope for the job and this depends on many
factors: how many people you need to lift, what the climate is like where you fly most often, and the
number of people available to handle the balloon and equipment.
However, as a general trend balloon sizes are
creeping up gradually.

Garbage cans are not magical portals. Trash does not disappear when you toss it in a can. Yet, the average American throws away an estimated
1,600 pounds of waste each year. If there are no
magic garbage fairies, where does all that trash
go? There are four methods to managing waste:
recycling, landfilling, composting, and
incinerating. Each method has its strengths and
weaknesses.

Recycling is the process of turning waste into
new materials. For example, used paper can be
turned into paperboard, which can be used to
make book covers. Recycling can reduce
pollution, save materials, and lower energy use.
Yet, some argue that recycling wastes energy.
They believe that collecting, processing, and
converting waste uses more energy than it saves.
Still, most people agree that recycling is better for
the planet than landfilling.

One thing that is easier to do is burning garbage.
There are two main ways to incinerate waste. The
first is to create or harvest a fuel from the waste,
such as methane gas, and burn the fuel. The
second is to burn the waste directly. The heat
from the incineration process can boil water,
which can power steam generators.

Unfortunately, burning garbage pollutes the air.
Also, some critics worry that incinerators destroy
valuable resources that could be recycled.
Usually, the community in which you live
manages waste. Once you put your garbage in
that can, what happens to it is beyond your
control. But you can make choices while it is still
in your possession. You can choose to recycle,
you can choose to compost, or you can choose to
let someone else deal with it. The choice is yours.

Farash Selena Rustam 9F 6 Garbage

Garbage cans are not magical portals. Recycling is the process of turning waste into new materials. Recycling can reduce pollution, save materials, and lower energy use. Yet, some argue that recycling wastes energy.

Still, most people agree that recycling is better for the planet than landfilling. Landfilling is the oldest method of managing waste. In its simplest form, landfilling is when people bury garbage in a hole. Over time the practice of landfilling has advanced.

Garbage is compacted before it is thrown into the hole. In this way more garbage can fit in each landfill. Large liners are placed in the bottom of landfills so that toxic garbage juice doesn’t get into the ground water. Not to mention that all of that garbage stinks.

Nobody wants to live next to a landfill. This makes it hard to find new locations for landfills. As landfill space increases, interest in composting grows. The product of this decomposition is compost.

Compost can be added to the soil to make the soil richer and better for growing crops. While composting is easy to do onsite somewhere, like home or school, it’s hard to do after the garbage gets all mixed up. This is because plastic and other inorganic materials must be removed from the compost pile or they will pollute the soil. There’s a lot of plastic in garbage, which makes it hard to compost on a large scale.

One thing that is easier to do is burning garbage. Once you put your garbage in that can, what happens to it is beyond your control. You can choose to recycle, you can choose to compost, or you can choose to let someone else deal with it.
